Abstract

The new Fisher and Paykel Healthcare building will have a total gross floor area of 35,700m2 and will consist of a mix of R&D, pilot manufacturing and warehousing areas. The building consists of large portal frames manufactured in Thailand. The large portal frames have a clear span of up to 48m to achieve column free spaces for the manufacturing and distribution centre requirements. The building also consists of Post Tension (PT) slab due to the high floor loadings.
